reMOVE

Website design for a boutique Pilates studio.

The goal was to create a simple, intuitive platform that allows users to explore the studio’s philosophy, check the schedule and pricing, and quickly sign up for classes.

Pilates is perceived not only as a workout, but as a form of reset — a moment of calm and connection with the body in an overstimulating world. The website was designed to introduce users to this peaceful, mindful atmosphere from the very first interaction.

Process

01

01

I began with competitor analysis and benchmarking, reviewing websites of boutique Pilates and fitness studios to identify common patterns, usability standards, and opportunities for differentiation.

02

02

Based on that, I defined the studio’s business objectives and user needs, mapping key user journeys such as exploring the offer, checking the schedule, and navigating to the booking flow.

03

I designed a clear and intuitive information architecture, ensuring the offer was easy to scan and that users were seamlessly guided toward the external booking system.

04

04

For the visual direction, I developed a minimalist UI based on generous white space, refined typography, carefully curated imagery, and a calm, cohesive color palette aligned with the brand’s positioning.

At the wireframe stage, I iterated on layout concepts and tested content hierarchy to validate usability before moving into high-fidelity designs.

I built the fully responsive website in Framer, optimizing layouts across breakpoints while applying SEO fundamentals and accessibility best practices.

The integration with the external booking platform Fitssey reduced implementation time and leveraged a familiar, trusted reservation environment for users.

Final QA included cross-device testing and iterative refinements to spacing, readability, and overall interaction consistency.

Key Takeaways

Although the majority of available imagery featured women, the brand positioning required avoiding an overly “feminine” aesthetic. ReMOVE was meant to feel inclusive, grounded, and universal — not gender-coded.

Instead of relying on stereotypical visual cues, I balanced the imagery with neutral typography, restrained color choices, and a minimal layout to create a calm, gender-neutral visual language.
